When ausaboxing.com was born the United States was at war and recoiling from the attacks of 9/11. Then Coach of USAF team and pro boxer Ronn Simms invited me to cover the event. The tradition resumed with fewer boxers participating but the intensity of the competition open division was roaring hot. A couple local boxers also got to compete with members of the USAF team. Though sparsely attended it was a great night of local boxing. America the land of the free because of the brave continued. ( please note that future ausaboxing coverage remains Under Threat from Spectrum Fitness Centers )

In tribute to those who defend the freedom open division bouts containing members of the USAF were more heavily photographed and will be divided into galleries.
